The aims and objects of the Association are
To foster the spirit of co-operation among the old students of the A.V.M.Marimuthu Nadar Higher Secondary School, Vilampatti;
To deepen the love of the old students of A.V.M.Marimuthu Nadar Higher Secondary School, Vilampatti, for their Alma matter;
To award Scholarships, Books, Uniforms and other Aids for the education of poor students;
To encourage sports;
To arrange debates, elocution contests, quiz, dramas, and other matters of similar nature;
To create a taste for good modern and ancient writers;
To publish journals, periodicals, bulletins or other brochures and to establish, run and maintain book banks and libraries;
To raise funds by receiving aids, grants, donations and advances;
To grant donations, aids, assistance and advances to A.V.M.Marimuthu Nadar Higher Secondary School, Vilampatti and other charitable institutions.
To purchase, acquire, construct, receive as donations and maintain, sell, exchange, lease or rent out such movable and immovable properties as may be deemed fit for carrying out the aims and objects of the Association;
To do any other act for the advancement of general public utility, without distinction and caste, colour or creed but not to carry on any business other than those specified under sub-section 4 A of Section 11 of the Indian Income Tax Act, 1961; and
To carry on such other allied objects as may be considered conducive to promote and secure the above objects.
